Maïsadour develops a new potato sector with Roger & Roger: controlled diversification and added value for members

Haut-Mauco, July 08, 2025. On the occasion of the first harvest, VEGA* Maïsadour – the crop production subsidiary of the Maïsadour Cooperative Group – is formalising the launch of a new diversification crop: potatoes. In partnership with the Belgian manufacturer Roger & Roger, a major player in the production of crisps and snacks, this new sector relies on the agronomic know-how of the Maïsadour teams, and offers secure commercial opportunities for the Cooperative's farmers. This structuring partnership is a concrete illustration of the Group's AMBiTiON 2030 strategy, and more specifically its pillar 2: "Development of value-added sectors".

Haut-Mauco, July 1, 2025. Sud-Ouest Accouvage, a subsidiary of the Maïsadour, Vivadour, and CAVAC cooperatives, is taking a decisive step in the evolution of incubation. Since 2024, her hatchery in Aignan (32) has been equipped with an in ovo sexing robot, capable of determining the sex of ducklings during incubation. A major innovation, the result of 10 years of research and an investment of 4.8 million euros, which combines performance, efficiency gains and progress in animal welfare. This automated system, which combines camera vision and artificial intelligence, makes it possible to identify, from the first days of incubation, the eggs carrying male ducklings, intended for the foie gras sector.

Haut-Mauco, June 20, 2025. On 19 June, the Maïsadour Cooperative welcomed more than 200 people for a morning entirely dedicated to the future of poultry production in the South-West. Farmers, representatives of the State, agricultural and economic partners, bankers and technicians responded to the invitation. While chicken is now the favorite meat of the French, half of the volumes consumed now come from imports. In a context of strong growth in demand (+10% in 2024), Maïsadour recalled the urgency of reviving national production andpresented its development plan, supported by the AMBiTiON 2030 strategy, Pillar 2 of which is dedicated to value-added sectors
