the Salon de l’Agriculture 2026 was marked by the need to develop our food sovereignty and support our farmers. As every year, the Maïsadour Group was present to explain and loudly proclaim the challenges facing agriculture today and tomorrow.

Our representatives began their discussions with Annie Genevard, with whom they reiterated the need to provide visibility and stability for producers through multi-year contracts.

With Yann Nédélec and Jean-Michel Schaeffer (ANVOL), discussions focused on the plan to regain poultry sovereignty, the simplification of procedures for the construction of livestock buildings, and the mobilization of banks to support farmers.

Christophe Bonno then spoke with Serge Papin, Minister of Trade, about the need for effective agricultural planning. The minister also praised our augmented QR Code, a transparency solution that allows consumers to access the actual carbon footprint of our chickens.

Daniel Peyraube speaks for French agriculture with the Jean-Jaurès Foundation

At a conference organized by the Jean-Jaurès Foundation, Daniel Peyraube, President of Maïsadour, reiterated:

  • the need to strengthen French and European food sovereignty,
  • the importance of supporting the competitiveness of farms,
  • and the urgent need to support farmers in the face of climate, economic, and societal transitions.

His speech highlighted the strategic role of cooperatives in the agricultural landscape.

Several Maïsadour experts were on hand at the 2026 Agricultural Show to share their expertise and present the actions undertaken within the Group.

Adrien Chassan, Head of Regenerative Agriculture, Paul Dané-Grasa, Head of Precision Agriculture Expertise, Leslie Vivès, Director of Agricultural Marketing, and Camille Paquier, Head of Agroecological Transition at MAS Seeds, participated in conferences alongside our partners: Biosphères, Aladin.farm, and Weenat.

Speeches during roundtable discussions on the concept of “cooperation”

Denis Villenave, MAS Seeds Côte d’Ivoire, took part in a round table organized by France Agrimer: “Cooperation, expertise, trade: Côte d’Ivoire, a major partner.”

Pierre Harambat, Deputy Chairman, gave a presentation on the research project currently being conducted by the R&I teams (Fabien Skiba, Director, and Fanny Rochon, Head of Research & Innovation Nutrition and Livestock Systems) at Maïsadour and INRAE to improve poultry heat resistance by controlling the incubation temperature of eggs in the hatchery.

2026 General Agricultural Competition: ive medals for Maïsadour

The 2026 edition of the International Agricultural Show once again confirms the excellence of the Maïsadour Group’s sectors, through the awards won at the Concours Général Agricole.

This year, Maïsadour has been honored with five medals for its duck and poultry sectors in southwestern France. This is a wonderful recognition of the passionate work of our farmers, our teams, and an entire region committed to quality.

These medals illustrate the meticulous work of our breeders and teams, who are committed every day to offering products of impeccable quality. They confirm our role as a gastronomic benchmark in the South-West and demonstrate the strength of our sectors, based on tradition, innovation, and high standards.
