Developing chains to offer quality and sustainable food

From the seed to the consumer’s plate, Maïsadour develops integrated chains and thus ensures a sustainable market for its farmers’ production.

Chains committed for quality products

By offering the consumers tasty and responsible products, Maïsadour works foran ever greater transparency and quality. Our many products with quality signs (Red Label, Organic Farming, Protected Geographical Indication) and our shops in short circuits “EN DIRECT DE NOS PRODUCTEURS” are a strong demonstration of our commitment and create a relation between producers and consumers.

01

Ensuring the good result of our know-how

At Maïsadour, we are proud of offering healthy and tasty products. The quality of our products comes from a know-how at the heart of our action. The chain organization of our Group ensures each stage of the process, from the selection of raw materials to the manufacturing of the products. It is a guarantee of quality, traceability and control of the product creation process.

02

Ensuring simplicity and transparency

The Poultry and Gourmet Business Lines are committed in the transparency of their products in order to provide the consumers with additional guarantees on production conditions at all times. Thus, Fermiers du Sud-Ouest and MVVH have developed QT codes for poultry, duck products and smoked salmon. From the breeding to the place, the consumer is informed of all the manufacturing process.

03

Promoting local

For several years, Maïsadour has been involved in short circuits (convenience stores) to promote local products and offer a large range of regional products to the consumers. From the development of a 100% local soybean chain to the ambition to produce 100% French fish, our Group aims to deploy a 100% French and local offer to meet the expectations of our customers.

04

Developing organic farming and new crops

Maïsadour has been committed for more than 20 years in the organic chain by supporting the conversion of its members’ farms. For 10 years, its Seed Business Line, MAS Seeds, has been involved in organic chains, by selecting varieties adapted to the specificities of organic crops. To offer new markets to its members, the Cooperative tests new crops every year (green asparagus, raspberry, sweet potato) to validate this diversification opportunity for the Group and its producers.

05

Fighting against food waste

The Group agri-food chain works to reduce food waste throughout the value chain, from the production of raw materials to the consumption of products. Many efforts are made in the Group plants to reduce as much as possible the waste generation, as illustrated by the signing of the “Too Good To Go” pact on the expiry dates by Comtesse du Barry and the EN DIRECT DE NOS PRODUCTEURS stores.
